Dr. Revor began teaching part time for Olivet in 2005 with the creation of the READ graduate program. She teaches six of the eight courses within the program. In 2014, Dr. Revor was hired as an Affiliate Professor; most of her duties are within the READ program but she speaks occasionally to the undergrad education classes. Her previous experience involves work in a public junior high in the Chicago suburbs. Her doctoral dissertation involved a comparison of metacognitive strategies of public vs private college students.
Dr. Revor is a member of the Illinois Reading Council (IRC), the International Literacy Association (ILA), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
The western suburbs is where Dr. Revor resides with her husband, who teaches industrial arts at a local high school. They have three grown children and one grandson. Dr. Revor loves to read and write and garden; she is currently training a Yorkie to be a therapy dog.
