Gina Shaw is an Instructor of the graduate Read program at Olivet. She began teaching for Olivet in 2012.  She has taught numerous courses such as Foundations of Reading and Developmental/Remedial Reading.  She is a member of Illinois Reading Council and International Reading Association.

Besides teaching for Olivet, Gina has been a teaching in a variety of roles for the past twenty-four years.  She has been a special education resource teacher and inclusion specialist. She has taught  third, fourth, and fifth grades, and has been a reading specialist. Currently, she is an instructional coach in Villa Park School District 45.

In her time away from teaching she is a Girls on the Run coach and volunteers for the children’s programs at Parkview Community Church in Glen Ellyn.  Gina and her husband Chip have two teenage children Julia and Jack.  She enjoys reading, running,  traveling with her family, and spoiling their dog Gibson.
