Ms. Anderson is the Executive Director of the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses. She has been employed with the Board since 1992, and has been the ED since 2001.
She holds registered nursing licenses in West Virginia, Iowa, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Minnesota. She has been licensed as a registered nurse since 1980, and completed a Masters in Nursing Administration in 2006. Ms. Anderson graduated from law school at West Virginia University in 1992 and is licensed as an attorney in the State of West Virginia. She has served on a variety of committees with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and on committees for the Council on Licensure, Enforcement, and Regulation. Ms. Anderson also served from 2011 - 2015 as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, serving as the Area II Director. Ms. Anderson is also an adjunct faculty member in the BSN and MSN programs of three Universities, teaching health care policy, leadership, legal issues and ethics, and research among other courses. She has also been a regular contributing author to NurseTogether.com.
Ms. Anderson frequently conducts presentations to nurses, students, and nurse educators in West Virginia and has also presented on both national and international levels. She also has previously conducted webinars for the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation as well as NurseTogether.com.
