Dr. Maria Delsing is married to her wonderful husband Richard and will be celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary in July, 2016. They have three children, all married and seven grandchildren. When she is not busy teaching she spends her free time quilting, traveling and reading. She is also very active in her church.
Dr. Maria Delsing is an online instructor in the Master of Arts in Education: Reading Specialist program for Olivet Nazarene University. She also is a University College instructor at Southern Illinois University and works with teaching college freshman. She was an elementary school teacher in an inner city school for twenty three years. In conjunction with her elementary school teaching she has also been an adjunct professor for nine years at Olivet. She has taught action research for three years in the M.A. Reading Specialist program as well as many different courses in the Master of Arts in Education: Curriculum and Instruction program. She has also taught in the Associate of Arts in Business program to help adult students transition back into an academic environment.
