Professor Holland joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2015 as the Level I coordinator for the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the center in Oak Brook, Illinois. Her teaching career began at Olivet in 2013 with teaching nursing courses as an adjunct professor. She has taught online didactic courses in nursing and leadership, and also served as a nursing clinical instructor.
Prior to teaching, she worked in acute care hospitals as a critical care registry float staff nurse, with her most recent assignment on a physical medicine and rehabilitation unit of a community hospital in Elgin, Illinois. She holds a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), American Nurses Association (ANA) and Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN).
Her favorite leisure time activities crocheting prayer shawls for St. Patrick’s Church ministry and singing in the church choir. No day is complete without coffee, in her opinion.
She and her husband, Mel, are the parents of two daughters and grandparents of one grandson.
