Sara is a 2012 Purdue University; West Lafayette, Indiana Post Master’s certification Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bridge to a Master’s in Nursing Science in 2007 from the University of Phoenix. In 2000 she completed her Associate of Science in Nursing at the College of Southern Maryland after beginning her college career at Indiana State University with a Coordinated Undergraduate Degree in Dietetics. Sara has taught NRSG 668: Children’s Health Therapeutics and Management and NRSG 665: FNP Practicum at Olivet. She has 4 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 16 years of nursing and 25 years as a dietitian. She is a Member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). Sara acts as a Board member for the 4C, a local child care education and advocacy organization and recently presented at the “Pulling it All Together for the Kids conference.” She is a Certified Primary Care Mental Health Specialist.
Sara's hobbies include working out and spending time with the family. She is married to Tony; they have 4 children- 2 daughters finishing college this year, 2 sons- a senior and freshman in High School. A dog, Jake and 2 cats, Oliver and Oscar. Sara enjoys sharing the love of caring for children and their families.
