Dr. Shaunté Pohl is an Adjunct Faculty member for Olivet’s School for Graduate and Continuing Studies. She is a licensed pharmacist, board certified pharmacotherapy specialist, and has been practice pharmacy for over 10 years. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Butler University in 2007 and went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency at the North Chicago Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Pohl previously taught at Midwestern University- Chicago College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy. During her time at Midwestern University she practiced pharmacy at the North Chicago VAMC in the Mental Health clinic and with Dupage Medical Group to establish a medication therapy management (MTM) clinic within their existing primary care practice. This clinic encompassed disease states such as diabetes; dyslipidemia, hypertension, anticoagulation, as well as primary care based mental health. Dr. Pohl has also had several articles published on subjects ranging from cardiovascular effects of medications to an experiencing establishing the first job-sharing position in the Pharmacy Practice Department of Midwestern University.
On a personal level, Dr. Pohl has been married to her husband, also Dr. Pohl, for 12 years. They are the parents of one son and two daughters. As a family they enjoy spending as much time outside as possible.
