Professor of Education Emeritus Stan Tuttle grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Northern Illinois University in 1973. Following a 20-year career in the United States Army, he became principal of a Christian school, grades Kindergarten through Eight, in Austin, Texas. He taught full-time in the School of Education and School of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Olivet Nazarene University from 1997 until retiring in 2014. He has taught the first research course in the Doctor of Education in Ethical Leadership program a total of 10 times, including Fall 2016, since beginning in 2008. He has been married to Dr. Rosalie Tuttle, Associate Professor of Nursing at Olivet, for more than 40 years. They are parents of a daughter and a son, and have five grandchildren.
