Professor Greer serves as the director of nursing programs for Olivet’s Department of Nursing (undergraduate) and School of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
Since joining Olivet’s faculty in 2002, she has served as the faculty sponsor for the Nursing Students Association and the Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society. She has chaired the Admission, Progression and Retention committee and has served on the RN-BSN committee. She also had an active role in the course development for the Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing (ABSN) degree program.
In her professional nursing career, Professor Greer has worked as a telemetry staff nurse, an emergency room staff nurse, and as a clinical nurse educator in emergency care.
During her free time, she sings in her church choir and helps in the children and youth departments. In 2012, she joined Olivet’s Team Shine to run the Chicago Marathon with Team World Vision — and helped to raise a total of $1.6 million to provide clean water for Africa’s people.
She and her husband, Mitchell, have two children. Family time with them is one of her greatest joys.
