Professor Dillinger joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2016. Currently, she teaches courses in the Fundamentals of Nursing and assists with clinical for the obstetrics rotation as well as participating in online teaching. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and holds a board position for Sigma Theta Tau.
Before teaching in higher education, she was a professional in the medical field for 12 years. She worked as a phlebotomist for three years and an emergency room technician for two years. After becoming a nurse, she worked in the nursing home environment, as a mother/baby nurse and as a labor and delivery nurse. Prior to her healthcare career, she worked in business management for Sprint PCS and the Hyatt Hotel Corporation.
“I believe that God has given each of us our own gift when it comes to touching people’s lives,” Professor Dillinger says. “We leave an imprint on all we come in contact with. I also believe that God puts you where you need to be when you need to be there. Listen and let Him guide your way.”
When she’s not in the classroom or at the computer, Professor Dillinger loves to read, crochet and enjoy the company of her three beagles.
She is the mother of two adult children — a son and a daughter — and grandmother to three grandchildren. She and Frank were married in 2004. They are members of Joliet First Church of the Nazarene.
One of her favorite guiding Bible verses is Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God ..."
