Mrs. Rockhill joined Olivet University’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies in October 2015, serving as an online instructor for the FNP program.
She previously served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Indianapolis. She assisted with both the BSN and accelerated MSN programs, serving as clinical instructor for the Orthopedic and Medical Surgical rotations. She also helped teach the Nursing Fundamentals Lab and therapeutic communication techniques to the BSN students.
In her professional nursing career, Mrs. Rockhill worked on an inpatient unit specializing in Geriatrics at St. Francis Hospital. She first worked as a staff nurse and later became the weekend option patient care coordinator for the unit. Upon receiving her MSN and certification as Gerontological Nurse Practitioner; Mrs. Rockhill then worked for Advanced Healthcare Associates, providing care for residents at nursing homes and skilled rehab facilities. Recently, Mrs. Rockhill returned to St. Francis Hospital to help initiate the outpatient palliative care program.
Mrs. Rockhill is a member of Sigma Theta Tau-Lambda Epsilon Chapter, currently serving as secretary.
In her free time, Mrs. Rockhill enjoys spending time with her family: husband, Nathaniel; daughter, Amelia; son, Benjamin; and calico cat, Tabitha. Some of her favorite past times include: playing games that Benjamin has created, watching Amelia play basketball or soccer, watching the Indianapolis Colts with Nathaniel, and working on picture collages for her family. One of her favorite Bible verses is 1 Timothy 4:12.
