Though this is only her second year teaching officially, Timmy Holmes has taught in many other capacities during her RN career and has been in the nursing field for 22 years.  Her areas of specialty are Acute care and Emergency Medicine.  She has been married for 24 years and has two college-aged daughters attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Northwestern University.

Professional Organizations that Timmy belongs to include Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, ANA-IL, ISAPN, ENA, AACN, AAENP, NAPNAP, and AANP.  Her Certifications are BLS, ACLS, PALS, CEN, PCEN, CCRN, ACNP-BC, and ACPNC.

Outside of work, she loves to play word games such as scrabble as well as go bowling and golfing.  She is an avid amateur photographer and enjoys attending concerts and fundraising events.    She is also involved in volunteering on the board of the Moms Association at the University of Illinois and is the immediate past president as well as the chairperson for the ANA-IL workplace safety committee.
